for the day that's in it feel free to share
Every father’s day
It was
father’s day on Sunday and I sat at home,
Praying like
most others that I would be left alone,
All year long
I hear it said father’s day every day,
Then Whats the
fuss on a single day is all I have to say,
Why not ask
all fathers what it is they’d like to do,
Most likely
ask your mother is what he’ll say to you,
The answer is
most different but none the less real,
Nearly all
would like a hassle free day not be taken for a meal,
And kids that
really think what it means to you,
And a wife
with no need to prompt them what to do,
Give no cause
for him to worry shows him that you care,
He knows no
matter what he will always be right here,
Being the best
you can be in all you ever try,
And be honest
with your stories never ever lie,
When it comes
to all that matter’s he is right there by your side,
And you can
always tell it is his best he tried,
As children do
we really know what our fathers truly like?
Or is it have
a great day dad and then we take a hike,
He doesn’t
really mind if you forgot to get a card,
He knows
exactly how life can get so hard,
For all you
are now doing he has done it once before,
To save you
the mishaps he has had and more,
He doesn’t
want to sit there and hear his praises aired,
He much would
rather that each day you said you cared,
And showed him
how much every single day,
By doing well
in what you think and all you say,
There is no
instruction book to tell him what to do,
It’s all a
learning curve in how he tries to help you,
On fathers day
it’s not all about a meal and then a drink,
More about how
he is and valuing what he thinks’,
So on this day
take the time to show him who you really are,
Smile and
thank him for helping you get this far,
And know what
makes him happy a father like no other,
Are surely all
the things that you do for your poor mother?
Every day is
father’s day though he will never tell,
Knowing that
his children are alive and doing well.
